Local Businesses walk over hot coals and broken glass

On the evening of 13 June 2025, fifty courageous individuals from local Lancashire businesses including Brysdales, Veratspace, and gym Find Your Way Fitness—took part in an extraordinary challenge for a noble cause. Braving hot coals and shards of broken glass, they offered unwavering support to Rainbow Hub, a vital resource in Mawdesley that empowers children and young adults with physical and neurological disabilities.

Under the expert guidance of firewalking instructor and filmmaker Chris Jones, the event—backed by TMT Construction—was both intense and uplifting.

“It was such a powerful experience,” said one participant, while Ryan White of Find Your Way Fitness, whose nephew benefits from Rainbow Hub, explained that their efforts went far beyond fundraising. “This charity supports not just physical well‑being, but the emotional and social lives of children, while easing pressures on their families.”

Emma Parish of Rainbow Hub described the atmosphere as “inspiring,” expressing sincere gratitude to everyone involved. She gave a special shout‑out to Jones and sponsor Fletchers, calling the evening “amazing.” On a touching note, Emma also celebrated her daughter Sophie—who boldly walked over both fiery coals and glass—“making sure that I didn’t chicken out either!”
